Happy Birthday Paul

Happy Birthday to my fellow cult radio icon, the alpha to my omega (OK that sounded a little gay), Paul.  I held a Wish Paul a Happy Birthday Contest on YouTube, and I can’t decide which is the best one.  It’s between these people I don’t know (with names like “The Mexican” and “The Creeper”) . . .

Ah screw it, let’s give it to this scary 13 year old dancing troupe.  The beginning is unbearable, but it’s gold from 3:20 on.

Ted’s Remake Was So Bad…

I just read that Turner is remaking the Match Game, to debut this summer on TBS. Lets see…Gene Rayburn, DEAD. Charles Nelson Reilly, DEAD. Richard Dawson, DEAD, Brett Somers, DEAD. Not sure how well this is going to work.

There’s something about the classic 70′s Match Game that shouldn’t be touched. Like how George Lucas should have left Episodes 4,5 and 6 alone. Or how NBC shouldn’t have tried to bring back Knight Rider. I can’t see this new version working out, especially when Game Show Network is still airing the original (greatest game show theme ever…take that, Jeopardy).

But if it has to happen…

Obviously, I am the rightful heir to Gene’s emcee thrown. I have honed my craft in the czaradio empire for over a decade, and I am ready to ascend to the throne. I even have a SONY ECM-51 longneck microphone.

As for the rest of the panel, who should be the regulars? (anyone who suggests Ryan Seacrest or Carson Daly is banned from the blog forever).
